| FOR SALE: CORNISH PIANO - Beautiful upright piano built by the Cornish Company in Washington, NJ. Per my inquiries to vintage piano shops, I have learned the following: The piano was built in about 1880. It is a Victorian era upright, made of Brazilian rosewood, which is now endangered and illegal to import to the US. Beautiful cabinet woodwork, four pedals. Two or three hammers don't work and it needs tuning but still fun to play little tunes on. Complete restoration would be about $6500 and would then place the value at between $9,000 and $12,000. Buyer responsible for pick up and shipping. |
